Fantastic news!
Carisbrooke Shipping, a Cowes based international shipping company, made a very generous donation of £1500 to the IW Toy Library & Opportunity Group in late December 2008. The main purpose of the donation is to support the group's efforts to publicise the group by the production of new handouts, posters, advertising and also the creation of this web site.
"This funding will give us a tremendous boost and guarantee the website costs are met for at least the next 3 years. Existing funds held by the group are reserved for the purchase of special needs toys and equipment so we couldn't have got the website and new materials up and running so quickly if we hadn't received this donation. All of this is fundamental to the continued existence of the group. We are therefore extremely grateful to Carisbrooke Shipping for including us amongst the many local charities they support."

Fun at 2008 Christmas Party
The children enjoyed a visit from Father Christmas at the last session of the group before the Christmas holidays. They received a lovely teddy which appeared to be a big hit with all. Everyone (including the adults!) enjoyed a party lunch and joined in with a few carols. A few pics shown below but all of the pics taken can be seen in the Photo Gallery.

IW County Press Article Jan 2 2009
Following on from the Christmas Party, the IW County Press wrote a feature article on us to help publicise the group to new parents and enlist support from past members. A much welcomed launch for our campaign to revitalise the group, so thanks very much IWCP!
